2023-2024 ONLINE MEETINGS & DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER SERIES
Meetings are virtual to include our global membership. Attendees need to register only once for the entire 2023-2024 series. Sign up as a Parents’ Club member to receive details on meeting registrations: stanfordparentsclub.org/join.html Meetings and membership are free of charge.
Our monthly online General Meetings are an opportunity for you to hear about club activities, campus updates, and Stanford research. Club leaders and various Stanford administrators provide club and campus updates on timely topics of interest. We also host our Distinguished Speaker Series during these meeting where Stanford faculty join the meeting to present their expertise in an area of study/research and innovation.
2023-2024 General Meetings will be from 10 AM – Noon (Pacific) on the second THURSDAY of the month. These meetings start in October and go thru May (no meeting in December or January)

The HonorableMichael McFaul Former US Ambassador to Russia
Professor Michael McFaul is an American foreign policy expert, and from 2012 - 2014, he served in the Obama Administration as U.S. Ambassador to the Russian Federation. He is currently the Ken Olivier and Angela Nomellini Professor of International Studies in the Stanford Department of Political Science, and Director of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. He is also the Peter and Helen Bing Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution.
Prior to his nomination to the ambassadorial position, Professor McFaul worked for the U.S. National Security Council as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director of Russian and Eurasian affairs, where he was the architect of U.S. President Barak Obama's Russian reset policy.
